Short Film — Pre-Production
Your entire production at a glance
Crew, cast, locations, budget, schedule, shot list, call sheets, equipment, art, and tasks connected under one project.
Import FDX, read the screenplay in-app with proper formatting, and tag props / wardrobe / set dec by highlighting text. Clicks on characters and locations jump straight to their pages.
Update a crew rate and the budget recalculates. Move a location and the call sheet pulls fresh weather and hospital data automatically.
Log wrap times, calculate tiered OT (1x/1.5x/2x), and track amounts owed per crew member.
Email call sheets to crew + cast in one click with the PDF attached. Each recipient gets a unique confirm-receipt link, and your delivery board updates live as confirmations come in.
Create an org, invite your team, and share projects automatically. Build a crew directory with contact info, rates, dietary needs, and medical notes.
Track estimates vs. actuals with line items that auto-link to crew rates and equipment costs — with a Days × Units multiplier and per-day/city itemised breakdowns for the way productions really spend.
Drag-and-drop scene strips, automatic labor cost calculations, and DOOD reports in one click. Assign scenes, crew, and locations to each shoot day.
Pick a scene in the Camera Log and your shots from the Shot List appear as cards. Click + Add Take and roll/lens/T-stop carry forward. Behind the scenes, every take auto-fills a row in the Script Supervision Log — separate tab, ready for the supervisor to add dialogue changes and pages covered. Mark a shot complete in the Shot List and the script auto-lines, color-coded by coverage. Open the script reader and the lining shows up in the scene chapters.
Hit Send Call Sheet, pick the crew + cast for the day, and a branded email goes out with the PDF attached. Each recipient gets a unique Confirm Receipt link — no login required — and your delivery board lights up as confirmations come in.

Pro is $12/month or $99/year for individual producers: unlimited personal projects, clean PDFs, in-app script reader, Script Supervision Log + auto-lining, Excel / CSV / Movie Magic Budget import, crew payroll. Team is $20 per user per month (or $199 per user per year) — flat per-seat pricing with no base fee and no minimums, where every seat gets the full Team feature suite (shared project access, budget Globals & Fringes, cross-org equipment sharing + partner splits, unlimited call sheet recipients & sends, full equipment accounting, real-time multi-tab sync, custom org logos). Seats are billed to the organisation admin's card and prorate when teammates join or leave. Freelancers invited to a single project are always free to collaborate — the paying project owner handles exports and sends.
Click Send Call Sheet next to Export PDF on any saved call sheet. Recipients click the link and your delivery board updates live — no login required for them. The status panel shows who's confirmed, who hasn't, and any failed sends, refreshing every 15 seconds.
